Bleach Chapter 312 - Fervorous-Ferocious

Well, if I could say one good thing about this week's Bleach chapter, it's that at least Kenpachi vs. Nnotira is over. Finally, hopefully, in the next chapters we'll get to see some real advancing of the plot. I don't think many people know this, but in an interview with Kubo Tite about a month ago, he stated that he was going to take a break from the main storyline, and for two months would be writing about backstories of some of the character (he didn't say who). IMO, these backstories should be coming up soon if he's looking for a lull in the action.
So, as you might have guessed, not very much happened in this latest chapter. Kenpachi realized that by using two hands on his sword instead of one, he could be over 9000! actually defeat Nnoitra. After his tremendous strike lands, Kenpachi sees that his foe is still alive, and though he tries to walk away the Espada angrily calls him back, saying that he could still fight, and screaming that Kenpachi was scared of him. As he moves in to attack, we get a flashback to the earlier days in Hueco Mundo, when Nell was still an Espada. She is scolding Nnoitra for killing more people than was necessary in a raid, and she told him that even after becoming an Espada he still acted like a child. Later, in a different location, it seems that Nell has just helped Nnoitra, and when he angrily asked her why she aided him, and why she keeps hanging around him, she responded it was because he was weaker than her. Apparently this statement did not boost his self-esteem or make him a nicer person, as he reflects on his policy of killing anyone who underestimated him or seemed weaker than him. Back to the present, Nnoitra falls, just as Nell speaks his name. Next chapter, (according to the tagline), a new foe appears?!?
