AP's are over! High schoolers across the nation rejoice as they are finally able to resume fun daily activities like sleeping, relaxing, partying, sleeping, etc. And a brand new Bleach episode was just waiting to be watched...unfortunately, it kinda stank. I was really having high hopes for this filler season, but if the quality keeps going downhill like it did today, I'll have to reconsider. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't!
So basically, in a nutshell, Rurichio and her two bodyguards, Kenryu and Enryu, go through a day at Ichigo's school, trying and failing to fit in. They go home and later that night are attacked by a ninja-wannabe who is probably after Rurichio; he fails in his kidnapping and ends up fighting Ichigo and Rukia, losing miserably and killing himself. Ichigo then holds a team meeting in his house, where we learn that Rurichio is part of a noble family and, uh,
bad people are after her. The bodyguards then ask for Ichigo's assistance in protecting Rurichio, and he grudgingly agrees. In Soul Society, a Kakashi look-alike informs a crusty old man that his ninja failed, and said old man declares that taking over a clan is 'hard work'. ~

I know, kind of a half-assed review, but this was a really mediocre episode with pretty shoddy animation. But it looks like next week's animation will be pretty good, and the episode itself will hopefully be a bit better. See ya!
